Much Ado About Nothing and The Heat

So, I have recently seen three really good moive's, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Heat.

Much Ado About Nothing

Much Ado About Nothing is a movie directed and produced by Joss Whedon who has written popular movies and TV shows such as, Avengers, Firefly, Buff the Vampire Slayer, Angle, Toy Story, and Cabin in the Woods. In some of these scripts he even had a hand in directions some of the scenes or episodes. The movie is a popular take of the classic from William Shakespeare. The movie takes place in today's world but is shown in black and white and in Shakespearean language.

The movie was beautifully made with an amazingly talented and funny cast. Amy Acker (Catch Me If You Can, Cabin in the Woods, Angle, and quest parts in Grimm, Once Upon a Time, and How I Met Your Mother) she plays, in Much Ado About Nothing, the witty Beatrice. She played it perfectly with all the wit and grace that I imagined Beatrice to have. Alexis Denisof (The Avengers, How I Met Your Mother, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Romeo and Juliet) in Much Ado About Nothing he plays Benedick the witty lead guy who ends up being tricked into falling for Beatrice. Fran Kranz (Death of a Salesman on Broadway, Cabin in the Woods, Twelfth Night, Taming of the Shrew, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid part 2) plays the famous sweet Claudio. He does it perfectly. He is all loving, sweet, innocent, and then suspicious and jealous of his famous love Hero. Hero is played by, Jillian Morgese, this is her first major film and she did a wonderful job playing the beautiful sweet Hero. Jillian was an extra in Avenger when Joss Whedon asked her to be in the film, which she has obviously said yes to being in. Clark Gregg (Avengers, Thor, Iron Man 1 and 2, and his new TV show SHIELD, and The New Adventures of Old Christine) plays Hero's father and Beatrice's uncle Leonato; he did an amazing job at playing Leonato. Don Pedro is played by Reed Diamond (The Mentalist, and Dollhouse) and Don John, Don Pedro's evil brother, is played by Sean Maher (The Playboy Club, and Firefly). Both of these two did pretty good jobs at playing the prince and the evil brother and I really loved how Sean Maher played his role of Don Pedro.

The whole cast and crew did an amazing job in this wonderful production of Much Ado About Nothing.

The Heat

The Heat is a hysterical movie about two cops and how different they behave, do their jobs, and act around people. The movie follows the FBI agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) who is completely uptight, and the Boston cop Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) whom is loud and speaks her mind.

Paul Feig's (Bridesmaid and The Office's Director) directed the movie The Heat. He was been in a few TV shows such as Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Dirty Dancing and the movies I am David and Bad Teacher, but only had small roles in those. With his vast knowledge and wonderful cast and crew he successfully directed a pretty amazing movie. Sandra Bullock (The Proposal, Blind Side, Miss Congeniality, and Speed) plays Sarah Ashburn the uptight and rule follow FBI agent who never makes mistakes. She did a wonderful job playing the uptight cop who transformed into a little more laid back. Melissa McCarthy (Identity Thief, Mike and Molly, Bridesmaids, and Gilmore Girls) plays the loud Shannon Mullins. This is a classic case of type casting as she played it perfectly; everything that I have seen her in she is the loud funny character that you can not but help to fall in love with. In this movie it is the same thing.

The Heat is a funny movie that keeps you laughing and entertained thought out the whole movie.

Both of these movies are worth the money to see. They were funny for different reasons but still amazing.

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini

I have read the past two Khaled Hosseini books, The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. I have loved both of the books and was excited to here that he had written another one. I read both of them when I was a sophomore in High School and at the end of my senior year the newest one, And the Mountains Echoed, came out. I just was able to pick up and read the book.

This book, And the Mountains Echoed, lived up to the standards of his other two books. I will not give away anything of importance in the plot, in case people who actually read this want to read the book.

So, this book explains happens when loving siblings get separated from each other. At a young age they get separated because the sister goes to a rich family in a big city. Once they become separated the story shows all the people who have met with the two siblings and their relationship with the separated siblings. It shows how when two people love can always find each other at the end they will always find each other. The two siblings love was so great for each other that separation could not keep them apart and at the end they are finally together again, with the bittersweet ending.

Fist Posting...

Hello Everyone,

This is the first time that I have every done anything like this.

How I am going to start is talking about a new T.V. show that I have started. The show that I am watching is the new ABC Family one...The Fosters. This show is about two lesbians. Stef Foster, has a biological son, named Brandon, and works as a cop with her ex-husband. Lena Adams, is the vice president at the school that they kids goes to. Together Lena and Stef have decided to adopted twins, a boy named Jesus and a girl names Mariana. When the show starts they adopt a 16-year old girl named Callie and her brother Jude. This new show is pretty good with a good cast and new idea for a T.V. show plot. If you have sometime this summer, I would say that you should watch it. I don't want to get into the plot in case someone who is reading this wants to watch it.

Until next time,
Katheryn
